help requested for speakup1.0

I did just that today. I had a tarball of 2.4.9 so I applied the patches
to bring me up to 2.4.12, put speakup-1.00.tar.gz into its place under
/usr/src and did the install. All went with flying colors! I'm now running
a 2.4.12 kernel now.
