I'm currently using the 2.2.19 version of the kernel, I'm using debian, and would like to update it to a newer version. I'm looking at the website in another screen and I see two versions of the 2.4.9 kernel linux-2.4.9.tar.gz.sign 16-Aug-2001 11:32 1k and I see this one... linux-2.4.9.tar.gz 16-Aug-2001 11:32 26.2M I guess what I'm asking, is which one should I go get, or if not either of those then what should I go get to update it? thank you for your time.
