Well Mike: If you don't give enough background information how do you expect to get the correct answers to your questions? Folks are usually very glad to try and help. Giving you the wrong answers won't help you or others that come along and read your posts and the replies. People could just suggest you install windows where you don't need to know much but you get a system which doesn't work very well either. You should not be taking your images from www.linux-speakup.org for redhat. Bill Acker maintains a much more up to date ftp site for redhat images at ftp://speakup.octothorp.org/pub/... You should get your images from there. In fact, I am sure I saw someone suggest that to you within the last day or two. So if you want answers, you really should listen to the ones you get. Kirk p.s. Write Bill at wacker at octothorp.org and he will give you his phone number and you can call him. I am sure he will be happy to talk you through the installation on the phone. -- Kirk Reiser The Computer Braille Facility e-mail: kirk at braille.uwo.ca University of Western Ontario phone: (519) 661-3061
