Hi Tim slackware7.1 images can be found at ftp://linux-speakup.org/pub/speakup/disks/slackware/slackware-7.1/ These will have speakup0.09a in them I believe. Just build a new kernel with the latest cvs speakup when you get the machine back up and running.
