Hi I've not had any trouble with Slackware 8. Could you clarify a few things? Does the kernel identify your devices ok? You can use the navigation keys to read up the screen? You do get to the point where you're prompted for the root disk? You did rawrite color.gz to the floppy that your inserting at this point? Have you tried doing the color.gz disk again?
