Setting punctuation?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

The simplest way to set punctuation levels with speakup is to echo 0, 1,
2, or 3 to /proc/speakup/punct_level. 0 = none, 1 = some, 2 = most, and 3
= all. I end up using all for my punctuation needs. I like to hear the
colons, slashes and periods - especially for file names and program
variables and the like.

There are some files in /proc/speakup pertaining to each of these
punctuation levels but not exactly sure what would happen if modified.
