slackware boot disks

Speaking of slackware boot disks. I've compiled the bare.i kernel with
speakup and added all the synthesizers. How do I make the actual bare.i
so t can be available for download and rawrite. In other words how do I
take my bzImage and System.map if needed and make the actual bare.i image?
I've read the docs in the kernels subdirectory on making a slack like boot
disk but that writes it to the floppy directly. I don't think it mentions
just making the bare.i file.

Thanks.
