w3 not working

Hi all,

I've just installed emacs/w3 with no errors.
According to the w3 info page, typing the meta key x to get the command prompt, and then typing w3 and hitting enter should bring up the brouser.
However, this doesn't happen. Any ideas why? Thanks.
Greg
