Did you get as far as package selection? * yep, the drive is /dev/hdb and I did get to the point of package selection. When I press enter to select all, and then select y to prompt me for each package installation, the error appears there after. I recall having a similar problem and had to use another terminal to mount the CD Rom. But I can't remember why this was so. * any suggestions as what to do nex, I feel beaten by this dam computer!!! I'm trying to install slackware 7.1 using the dec express synth. I've managed to get the synth working, but get the error " can not access the CDROM, ensure that it is mounted on /var/adm/mount, and that all of the sub directories are accessible. " or something to that effect. The strange thing is that prior to this error message, I can here the CDROM being accessed. Can some one tell me what I'm stupidly doing wrong? Thanks in advance Regards Mo. _______________________________________________ Speakup mailing list Speakup at braille.uwo.ca http://speech.braille.uwo.ca/mailman/listinfo/speakup _______________________________________________ Speakup mailing list Speakup at braille.uwo.ca http://speech.braille.uwo.ca/mailman/listinfo/speakup
