Hi: Firstly, this is not off-topic, anything remotely linux related seems to be fair game here. Which distribution do you run? Best to get a package for your distribution if you can, since the likelyhood of a compiled binary to "just work" is not all that high with everyone using shared libraries and all. You might also want to send us the error messages in case fixing that turns out to be a relatively simple job. Geoff.
