Hi Paul I know this isn't the answer your looking for but it would just be easier to put linux on that laptop. To answer your question that you asked, there should be a readme.txt on the disk that will explain the proceedure to you. It is a little strange. It's been forever since I have played with dos so I can't help to much but I can say that I remember the documentation being helpful. There should be a few other .txt files on that disks as well.
