Kernel installation.

Hi, Thomas,

     The 2.2.17-14 kernel RPM's will work on RH6X and 7.0.  You'll need to
edit your /etc/lilo.conf and change the image line to point to
vmlinuz-2.2.17-14.  Most people add new lines for this so they can use
their original kernel if necessary.  Also, add a line that says:
append="speakup_synth=dectlk"
if your synth isn't being recognized, make the line read:
append="speakup_synth=dectlk speakup_ser=0".  Install the appropriate
packages
keeping your original kernel-headers package and run lilo Reboot and pray.
