reading RTF files

Now there is a constructive suggestion. I guess I have two ways to do
that. Either I could spend my own scarce dollars for an inferior OS plus
all the access tools to go with it, or else I could get some sponsoring
3rd party to do it on my behalf. Either way I would still end up with a
poorly designed and bloated OS with a record of unstability where every
move requires further bucks chasing the old ones, and all that just to
read a couple of RTF files? I guess I would rather just explore the specs,
or dope them out, and maybe take a whack at an RTF reader. At least that
would be a useful and enjoyable task. Thanks for the suggestion though, I
will put it on my list.
