Hi, My thanks to the people who clarified things after my last post. I have however come to another sticking point when selecting the keyboard layout in the Debian installation system. The qwerty/speakup map mentioned in the README on the speakup archive does not appear in the list of options. I'm using the rescue-ltlk.bin and root.bin images supplied in /pub/speakup/disks/debian/images-1.44. Is this a recent change, perhaps the changes in the Debian install that Geoff mentioned in his message, or is something broken/missing? Thanks in advance, Ben -- '"Down there," he said, "are people who will follow any dragon, worship any god, ignore any inequity. All out of a kind of hum-drum everyday badness. Not the really high creative loathsomeness of the great sinners, but a sort of mass-produced darkness of the soul. Sin, you might say, without a trace of originality. They accept evil, not because they say yes, but because they don't say no."'
