HOW DO I SET UP ETH0

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Kerry and Geoff,

Thanks, I'm gonna hit the HOWTO's on Laptop's and take kerry's advice about
the pcmcia-tools, although like geoff I was under the assumtion that 2.4.x
included all the pcmcia stuff in the kernel. I'll let you know how I do this
weekend.

One other thing. It may be the way that I have my .config file set up,
probably is, but I noticed that the size of the kernel jumped from 600+ in
2.2.x to 900+ in 2.4.x, Wow what a jump.

Keith

Hi:

Am I correct in recalling that kernel 2.4.x has native pcmcia support?

for the record, I've not meddled with kernel 2.4. Folks like John and
Bill have been for quite some time, so they are probably the experts on it.

Geoff.
