Kerry and Geoff, Thanks, I'm gonna hit the HOWTO's on Laptop's and take kerry's advice about the pcmcia-tools, although like geoff I was under the assumtion that 2.4.x included all the pcmcia stuff in the kernel. I'll let you know how I do this weekend. One other thing. It may be the way that I have my .config file set up, probably is, but I noticed that the size of the kernel jumped from 600+ in 2.2.x to 900+ in 2.4.x, Wow what a jump.
