Hi Try these sites: http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ http://leb.net/blinux/ http://www.linuxhelp.co.za/mandrake/mdkuserg/node50.html http://www.slackware.com/book/ Maybe it might be a good idea to start with your distribution's manual. If you don't have a distribution, then it would be useful to look at different distribution manual's to see which ones give clear instruction. Some are more readable than others. The last but one link is a good bash shell command guide. -----Original Message----- From: speakup-admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:speakup-admin at braille.uwo.ca]On Behalf Of Bill Gaughan Sent: 05 December 2001 12:15 To: speakup at braille.uwo.ca Subject: Re: quick command reference go to: http://www.linuxdoc.org/ it is a large website, but, well worth the time. -- Bill Gaughan wgaughan at snet.net On Wed, 5 Dec 2001, Shaun Oliver wrote: > michael try the linux documentation project site. > I can't remember the url for it off hand but hopefully there's a howto > there relating to dos win to linux and it gives a quick over view of > each of the commands. > On Tue, 4 Dec 2001, Michael Ryan wrote: > > > > > Hello list: > > Can somebody point me to a good straight forward Linux command summary? > > either on-line or maybe you might have one > > laying around.
