Hey guys, Here's a post from blinux-list. I think he's got a point, but after all, it's Hans' site and he can pretty well do whatever he wants with it. ... I basically wrote in saying that, and that perhaps someone else would be willing to take the challenge of an unbiased site. .... ----- Forwarded message from Karl Dahlke <eklhad at home.com> ----- To: blinux-list at redhat.com I just visited the Blinux home page, www.leb.net/blinux. Have you been there recently? Fully half the page is a glowing endorsement of EmacsSpeak. "The most advanced voice enabled interface", according to Hans. He adds the disclaimer, "In my humble opinion", but nonetheless, *every* blinux visiter is deliberately directed towards one particular adapter. Now EmacsSpeak is a fine product to be sure, but certainly not the only adapter on the site. I wrote Hans about this and he said, esentially, "It's my site, and I prefer EmacsSpeak, so there it is." I think this attitude is unproffessional and counterproductive. The blinux site should be completely unbiased. Here are all the adapters - select the one that best meets your needs. If you agree, please write Hans at hzo at gmx.de and let him know. BTW, I encourage EmacsSpeak users, including Raman, to respond as well. This isn't about which adapter is best- it's about maintaining an unbiased web site of the highest quality.
