what CD burners work in linux?

I am thinking about upgrading my machine, and might put an internal CD
burner in, because of the fact this USB one I have now is only 4x and
doesn't work in linux anyways. Which models work best, do the A-Open, HP
93x series, or Plextor burners work? Another benefit to the internal
burners is that seeing I use both linux and windows, I could use Ghost with
rewritable CD's (my current internal drive won't read them).
