Hi Terry:  Pine is not a gpl'd program and has restrictions by
Washington University on how it must be distributed.  Therefore debian
makes source only packages for pine which you can easily get.  I think
they maintane two separate versions for some reason unknown to me,
v-3.xx and v-4.xx.  Anyway apt-get and friends will happily fetch the
pine source and compile it automagically for you.
