Hi Rob: We have seen situations where the isp although providing a
domain name does not provide a reverse domain.  That means if you
connect to someplace that tries to do a reverse look-up which is very
common the provided name doesn't point back to the connecting ip
address.  In that situation most systems security protection system
kicks in and rejects the connection.

You might want to check to see if that is the case with your isp.
