If the cable in question is a striaght through cable using rj45 connectors I would highly recomend going and getting a standard Cat5 patch cable in the desired length. This will meet your needs perfectly. If in doubt it is easy. Go to the store with the unit and check it out. The cost is a few minutes time to find out. The cable shouldn't run more then a few dollars if you choose grey. A little more for other colors. One option you might consider is getting a snagless cable.
