Subject: changing the synthesizers port

Hello,
I'm trying to install linux.  I need to know how to tell speakup that my
synth is on com2 and not com1.  Is there a parameter I can pass to the
kernel (i.e through Lilo) to inform Speakup my synth is on com2?
