Hi, I am trying to help someone install speakup, and have run in to some roadblocks. I am not inexperienced, yet the solution to this problem is not apparent to me.
Maybe someone will have some ideas.
We are installing linux kernel 2.2.14, after having reached the same problem with 2.2.15
We applied the speakup patch, (patch -p0 <speakup-0.09.....-patch), then (make config), (make dep) (make modules), and beond that, nothing works. By nothing, I meen (make lilo) (make bzimage) (make zimage). The output from the non-working commands is, "no rule to make target" The 2.2.15 kernel we had problems with was from kernel.org, and 2.2.14 (currently installed) is from the rh cd. It is prob some mistyping, but don't know. Fallowed the readme, and did exactly same proceedure as I have done several times before.

Any alumenation on the situation would be gratefully appreciated,
Jason
