Hi Chuck: There are a number of ICQ-compatible clients for linux. I use micq which seems to have the best reputation. It's extremely speech friendly and no hassle to install and use. Documentation is a little light on but most of its functions can be figured out. You can download micq from ftp://micq.chatzone.org/pub/micq/ The latest version is 0.44 which looks like it just came out (as in yesterday). Guess what I'm off to do next. Geoff.
