Actually, it's a fairly simple problem to fix--playing a .pls file. All it is (if you've looked at one) is a textfile that goes something like this: [Playlist] Numberofentries=1 file=http://host.domain:port That's it, really. So if you want to play a stream in mpg123, just edit out everything except the URL and invoke mpg123 as mpg123 -@ filename Works fine like that.
