Dave, I've been able to use the MultiVoice 1.1 with speakup with the decext driver. You can try it with the slakware bootdisk with the following command line: ramdisk speakup_ser=0 73, Chris w1gm at sdf.lonestar.org SDF Public Access UNIX System - http://sdf.lonestar.org
