Fun With Lilo

Buddy,
A couple thoughts:
1.  If you have a large disk drive, lilo may not be able to find the root
filesystem and its associated files unless you use the linear option in
lilo.conf.
2.  I don't use debian, but I also copy the kernel to /vmlinuz: no
symlinks.
3. Make sure you have a good kernel by copying it to a floppy with:
cp /vmlinuz /dev/fd0
and try booting from it.
