Hi: I'm still trying to install on my IBM Thinkpad. I think I'm close with NFS. I get the following error both on the Thinkpad when I try to access my CD ROM on the desktop -- and I get it if I try to mount this NFS volume locally. Obviously, I missed something? I'm hoping one of you can tell me what--or how to find/fix this. Here's the command and the error mount /nfs.cdrom mount: RPC: Unable to receive; errno = Connection refusedAnd here's the relevant line from fstab: isrd:isrd/cdrom /nfs.cdrom nfs user, exec, dev, nosuid,ro 1 1 Believe it or not, I've never actually had an nfs volume anywhere. This is my first nfs attempt. On the good news side, I'm tickled pink that I've gotten ipchains working so that this method of install may actually work -- where non other has yet succeeded. Looks the most promissing, anyway. Janina Sajka, Director Information Systems Research & Development American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) janina at afb.net
