But you did, when you gave that solution as the requirement for
what you want to achieve. If that's what you want to achieve, then
necessarily that's the only possible solution. What other possible
solution could there be to "open a serial port, and write/read text
to/from it, before /dev is mounted"?

That the requirement that you have set forth is challenging,
and you will need a measure of luck to achieve it.
