Hello!

When booting, after loading the initrd and progressing with device detection, the kernel will usually stop continuing and instead repeatedly output (with varying type and page parameters):

It will not recover from that state. It appears that if I let the kernel continue until it reaches:

(the SCSI devices will still not be accessible) and then hard-reset the machine, it will successfully boot on the next try.


[4.] Kernel information
[4.1.] Kernel version:
The latest version that shows the problem is 3.12.8.

[4.2.] Kernel .config file:
Please find the config for 3.12.8-gentoo attached.
The same issue appears with all vanilla kernels in the range I tested, so I am confident the Gentoo patches are not causing this.


[5.] Most recent kernel version which did not have the bug:
Both problems first appeared with Linux 3.9.10 after updating from 3.8.10.
Since then I tested 3.10.8 and onward and 3.12.2 and newer and all suffer from this problem.

Please note that due to another bug, I had to compile the kernel with GCC 4.5.4 instead of version 4.7.3, which ver_linux mentions.
