Hello James.
It's not clear to me why STp->use_pf |= PF_TESTED; is correct fix 
(since STp->use_pf = (!STp->use_pf) | PF_TESTED; is not equals to STp->use_pf |= PF_TESTED;).

Would you provide some explanations?
