The hang palce is spin_lock_irq(q->queue_lock) in function scsi_request_fn:

 not_ready:
        spin_unlock_irq(shost->host_lock);

        /*

         * must return with queue_lock held.
         *
         * Decrementing device_busy without checking it is OK, as all such
