Requirements/Background:

* Bachelors degree - Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
* 5+ years of C coding experience
* Experience developing Linux device drivers
* PCI knowledge is desired
* Good knowledge of operating systems internals: Linux preferred
* Good debugging knowledge
* Ability to write structured programs using conventional guidelines for flow and readability
* Experience gathering requirements, planning project flow, and writing a specification that guides that project
* Experience with set-up and usage of Server/PC-based systems
* Experience with different operating systems - especially Linux and Solaris is a plus

Desired Knowledge:

* Knowledge of UnixWare and OpenServer
* Good knowledge of PC bus architecture
* Experience with storage hardware


Job Description:

* Develop drivers and utilities to support LSI storage I/O controllers (SCSI, SAS, etc.)
* Projects will require C coding
* Device Driver devleopment 
* Programs will run under Linux and Solaris
* Design, plan, implement, and unit test code
* Implement new code and maintain/upgrade existing code
* Interact with other developer in the US and India
* Debug under various Linux operating systems, controller hardware, and processor types
* The primary responsibility of this job is Linux development, but over time development of Solaris driver skills will be required.
