Sense: Invalid message error It is asc=49h,ascq=0 . The only reference I can see to that additional sense code is in SPI-4 [spi4r10.pdf section 18.1.2] which is parallel SCSI. Since you are using Fibre Channel it looks like it is time to read the product manual. It may also be random bytes in the sense data.
