It would be great for the driver to have a solid heuristic for running the older ISP cards in 32-bit mode. You don't happen to have a qla1280, do you? I'm afraid I don't have one anymore and it's the model that occasionally pops up in bug reports. Would be nice to validate your changes against that ASIC.
