Thanks for the pointer! `Handle abort for WRITE_PENDING cmds` seems like the specific issue we're running into here. I'll add that patch to our repo and see if it fixes the problem.

We're aware that we're a bit far behind the curve in terms of kernel version, but I'll use this as an additional data point to help prioritize the upgrade to a more modern kernel. Thanks again for the help!
