That's much more clever.

After all DES1 and DES0 availability only depends on the availability
of CSI20 and CSI40. It might be a bit more complex to make it nice in
the existing link_notify() callback due to it's complexity, but an
additional iteration of the routing table to collect which CSIx is
available should be quite cheap as you suggested

Nope, for D3 the register is written as 0x00 (I've tested it) as the
mask gets & with !0xff
