Agenda: Extend RDMA Device Memory concepts to kernel Verbs Device memory allows RDMA applications to allocate buffers on the device, and use them as a source/target of subsequent RDMA data transfers. A few weeks ago we discussed the motivation and primary use-cases for user applications. This week, we will extend the model to kernel use-cases and review a proposal for the corresponding kernel Verbs.
