Benchmarking for hibernation

Hi,

I am a undergraduate student and currently working on a project based
on hibernation in linux. I would like to know if there is any method
to measure the exact time it takes for a system to resume from a
hibernated state. I have tried utilities like bootchart but they don't
seem to be useful here. Also timestamping different events also are
not much of help.

I would appreciate any help and suggest a way to
carry out the benchmarking for hibernation.

Warm regards,
Karan Patil.
