I assume you're using linus' tree since kyle's still at -rc2. Have you
checked whether kyle's tree (which contain our most recent pa-specific
fixes, except the one for DISCONTIGMEM breakage) exposes the same
deadlock?

It's not STUPID, it's my BABY! boot with pdcchassis=0 ;-P

That could be a side effect of the timer_interrupt bug I'm seeing: if
cpu0 is stuck then the console will only respond when the timer kicks
off, which happens, huh, "from time to time". I'd expect you to see
the well known timer_interrupt delayed printks tho... But then again it
looks like you're not running our tree, so anything goes.
