Hello.
After updating kernel to current Linus tree (5.0rc2) I found my Nokia N900
doesn't boot from MMC card until I remove back cover.
It boots fine if I turn on the device with the cover removed.
If I try to boot the device with the cover in place, the device (N900)
hangs
on boot (rootwait option inplace) waiting for device with the root
filesystem.
Which is somehow triggered if I remove the back cover.
I bisected the regression commit. It's e63201f194 (mmc: omap_hsmmc: Delete
platform data GPIO CD and WP). Commit author: Linus Walleij.
Please let me know if I can do anything to assist in fixing the regression.
