When investigating an issue related to the recent addition of generic-phy support to USB core, I happened to take a closer look at the legacy-phy support in usb_add_hcd() as well. Turns out this code hasn't been used since 2016 when OMAP dropped support for non-DT boot. Specifically, the interface for associating controllers with phys in board files and platform code has since been unused and consequently all legacy phy lookups using usb_get_phy_dev() has also been failing with -ENODEV on mainline kernels. This series rips it all out. Johan Changes in v2 - Reword the commit message for renesas_usbhs in order to highlight that the legacy API is still being used in gadget mode as noted by Yoshihiro Shimoda (whose ack is also added).
