The inode variable is only used in nfs4_state_protect_write(), so can we change NFS_SERVER(inode) to NFS_SERVER(hdr->inode) and ditch the variable instead?  Then your code will pass my compile test without needing to rely on the patches I sent out last week, since I haven't set up SP4_MACH_CRED for testing yet.
