The dependency chain for PNFS_OBJLAYOUT on BLOCK is: PNFS_OBJLAYOUT-> SCSI_OSD_ULD -> SCSI_OSD_INITIATOR -> SCSI-> BLOCK With the patch, if CONFIG_BLOCK is not set, pnfs file layout can still be built.
