linux-next: build failure after merge of the tip tree

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all,

After merging the tip tree, today's linux-next build (arm
multi_v7_defconfig) failed like this:

drivers/pinctrl/sirf/pinctrl-atlas7.c: In function 'atlas7_gpio_handle_irq':
drivers/pinctrl/sirf/pinctrl-atlas7.c:4300:20: error: 'irq' undeclared (first use in this function)
   if (bank->irq == irq)
                    ^

Caused by commit

  5dc1aeb0340f ("pinctrl/sirf: Prepare-x-gpio-handle-irq-for-irq-argument-removal.patch")
[hmmm, not a wonderful commit summary line]

I tried to use the tip tree from next-20150714, but for some reason that
broke the perf build:

  BUILD: Doing 'make -j48' parallel build
make[3]: *** No rule to make target '../lib/hweight.c', needed by '/scratch/sfr/next/tools/perf/util/hweight.o'. Stop.

So instead, I applied the following fix patch for today's issue:
