Converting .avi to .mov??

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Greetings: I'm having a terrible time trying to convert .avi files
that I've grabbed with mencoder then converting them to a quicktime
for Linux .mov file that my editor likes.. Converting to .vob or .mpg
is fairly easy with movie_to_dvd or tovid; but there is a problem
with those two that's peculiar to the editor-Cinelerra... (It,
simply, likes .mov files, at least here.) <grin>

I've been trying both ffmpeg and transcode, CLI, to no avail.. Any
suggestions?? TIA.. (Googling lists a bazillion programs for
MSWindows, of course.) :^(.. [I'm using Slack10-2, 2.6.13 kernel, and
both ffmpeg and transcode are working properly for other projects.]
