Hi, Is it possible to force a fiber Ethernet NIC (Broadcom NetXtreme 1000SX) to have the link status as up, or in any other way be able to transmit even when there is no light received on the RX conductor? I have looked on ifup, ifconfig and ethtool man pages and didn't find such option. I guess it may also be possible on the driver level and would appreciate any hints.
