System freeze with Globetrotter HSUPA Modem (7501 Option)

Hello,

The Situation:
System: Slackware-13.0 with vanilla Kernel 2.6.31.5
 Hardware: Asus EeePC 901

 Bought an Umts-Datastick with Option-Chipset
Stick identifies as Globetrotter HSUPA Modem with 7501 Option Chip (Detailed
specific information from lsusb -vv is attached)
Stick uses the hso-module. (lsmod output is attached)
The Stick works out of the box and connections can be established and are stable.

My problem:
After connecting to the data provider (I don't mean attaching the stick to the system),
it is only a matter of time, until the whole system freezes. It takes normally some
minutes until the freeze appears. It is no problem to only attach the stick without
connecting to the internet. It makes no difference if the connection is established
with wvdial or umtsmon or kppp.

SysRQ does not work, after the freeze appears.
I built a Kernel with CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO=y but i got no more information.

Relevant parts of /var/log/dmesg, messages and syslog are attached but they say nothing really
informative from my point of few.

I'd like to give more information, but I currently don't know how.

cu alex
