Builtin switch flooding packects

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi!

I have a home router* with a builting switch running linux 2.4.30.
Recently I noticed, that it sends packect to all connected ports,
instead just to the destination node.

Any clue what can be done ?
Is that controled by linux code or is implemented in hardware ?
I did not find anything useful in /proc/switch/eth0/
neither in the syslog.

The hardware is a Broadcom 4704 cpu and a BCM5325 switch (according
to http://toh.openwrt.org). The OS is OpenWRT 0.9 (White Russian).

I already asked on the OpenWRT forum**, but they could not figure out
what is happening.

Thanks for any clue,
David Balazic
