Yes,  I have tried 100Hz, 250Hz. 100Hz works better than 250Hz.
And tried
CONFIG_PREEMPT_NONE, CONFIG_PREEMPT_VOLUNTARY, CONFIG_PREEMPT

It seem that, the only possible reason of performance loss from 2.4 to
2.6 is scheduler change.
